While Razorwax and Aventurine might not have alot of knowledge about game development and publishing since the companies are fairly new. The staff do know what they are doing. Alot of them programmers comes from other more or less successful games from different genres. (read that long time ago... don't remember the games :P)

Anyway, I am not sure that Darkfall will ever be released either but it would mean alot to the MMORPG scene if it did. Darkfall is the first game that has a chance of making it big from a small company since OSI released Ultima Online.

The only reason i can find why Darkfall is taking so long to release is that they are following their own advice.. Never release something before it is finished. This might be their downfall but it is still nice to see a development team realy going for it while they can.

We can really only sit and hope that the game will come out. Hope hope hope hope hope hope hope....

King of MMorpgs!

Well, I reckon when Darkfall comes out it shall fill the title: THE KING OF MMORPG. [If it comes out?...]

I've been following this game since when they announced it, if when it comes out it falls short of p[erfection, I shall be a raving lunatic, I mean for god's sake, 6 years work for something that isn't perfection???!!!!!

Yeah I have to agree with you Blitz. However there might also have taken them so long due to that they have remade the game from scratch serveral times, and if that is the case it might not release as perfection.

Darkfall has alot of potential and since i like the community around the game i will stick with it and wave my hand around the boards from time to time and post updates here.

Yea the community is really awesome. Start of beta might mean death of the official Offtopic forums... which will really be a shame. They only "restarted" it once, not several times. It was somewhere in 2003-2004 (Tasos said its in actual development for almost 3 years) I have my doubts about server stability and large scale battles if the game ever gets to beta/releases, but we probably wont hear about it until we play the game.
